Basic Policy on the Promotion of Culture and the Arts - Creating the future with cultural and artistic resources -(4th Basic Policy)(Cabinet Decision on May 22, 2015)

 The Agency for Cultural Affairs, based on the regulations set forth in the Basic Act on the Promotion of Culture and the Arts (enacted in 2001) has formulated the “Basic Policy on the Promotion of Culture and the Arts – Creating the future with cultural and artistic resources” (4th Basic Policy, Cabinet Decision on May 22, 2015) which outline comprehensive measures to promote policies related to culture and the arts. The 4th Basic Policy has been formulated based on the report by the Council for Cultural Affairs, outlining future cultural policies by and large over the next 6 years (FY2015 – FY2020).

Intermediary Plan towards creating a Nation based on Culture and the Arts

 The Agency for Cultural Affairs has designated the period up until the date of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games as a systematic strengthening period for the promotion of cultural policies. The Agency announces the intermediary plan towards creating a nation based on culture and the arts.
