Program for Practical Human Resources Development by Industry-Academia Cooperation [a program before FY2010]
  This program aimed at fundamentally strengthening functions of universities, etc. to foster practical human resources through the development and implementation of educational programs under a practical environment in industry-academia cooperation at universities, junior colleges and colleges of technology, for the purpose of fostering practical human resources such as those who can respond to diverse social requests and those rich in creativity who can create new industries. The program developmentally integrated three past programs (Cooperative Plan for High-level Personnel Dispatch, Manufacturing Engineer Development Support Project, and Program to Promote Development of Service Innovation Specialists) in FY2008.

Development of Long-term Internship Programs
  Industry and academia should build a system to constructively work together for fostering and utilizing human resources and develop internship programs based on unprecedented concepts with the aim of fostering highly intellectual, well-educated human resources who support a knowledge-based society in diverse ways with full understanding of the problems faced by society and industry initiatives.

Development of Manufacturing Engineers
  Educational programs organically combining experiments, practical work and lectures in collaboration with local communities and industry should be developed and implemented, thereby fostering manufacturing engineers who have advanced knowledge and genuine skills to lead innovation in the manufacturing field and can overview the entire process of manufacturing and make proper technological judgments.
