MEXT Minister Hagiuda Koichi and Islamic Republic of Iran Sport Minister Masoud Soltanifar have signed in an online ceremony, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of sport.
The document aims to promote bilateral exchange and cooperation in the field of sport, and welcomes the sharing and exchange of knowledge.
 
After the signing ceremony, Minister Soltanifar said the MoU will serve as a basis to expand a diverse range of exchanges and relations between the two countries. The Iranian minister said he hopes the agreement will advance learning about Japan’s various sporting fields and promote exchanges.
 
Minister Hagiuda said it is important to expand the bilateral relationship by building on the history of friendly ties between the two countries, and sport lays the ground for expanding future cooperation. Minister Hagiuda said he hopes the MoU will lead to further cooperation in sport between the two countries.
