THE 3rd S＆T Basic Plan（Cabinet Decision, May 28, 2006, （5 year, FY2006-2010））stressed the importance of strengthening of the S＆T collaboration with other Asian countries. Under this situation, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science（JSPS）has launched this program since FY2006 with the funding from “Special Coordination Funds for Promoting Science and Technology” of MEXT. The program is planned to continue for 5years. By using of the network of JSPS with other Asian countries, this program supports the researchers’ exchange ad networking activities to build an Asian S＆T Community based on the closer human network of researchers in Japan and Asian countries.
