(3) Subsidies to Private Special Training Schools


In order to improve educational conditions of private special training schools and respond to technological innovation, subsidies for the accommodation of large scale educational equipment are granted. The subsidies of FY 1989 amounted to \494 million, an increase of \ 64 million from the previous fiscal year. The government also provides financial assistance for various programs such as training programs of teachers, and assistance by prefectures is also strengthened annually.
