JSA provide Olympic and Paralympic education in Municipalities, for promotion of the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Especially the raising of interest in the Paralympics is a challenge.

Olympic and Paralympic Education Program

Olympic and Paralympic education not only raises interest in the Games themselves, but also has multi-faceted educational value such as the cultivation of a normative consciousness, the understanding of international and different cultures, the acceptance of an inclusive society, etc., along with deepening the understanding of sports values. To leave an intangible legacy for Japan, the promotion of Olympic and Paralympic education is important.

• Teachers seminars in each region
• Selected the schools for promoting Olympic and Paralympic education
• Education in practice (Studying about Olympic and Paralympic Games, trying Olympic and Paralympic sports)
• Held civic forums in 2017/Holding civic events in 2018
• (In 2019) put more weight on watching para-sports games (like world conventions) and trying para-sports in practice
