Only when the significance of science and technology and its
relation to daily life are well understood by the citizens,long term utilization
and progress in science and technology can be made.The support of the citizens
must be essential to the promotion of science and technology.Furthermore,science
and technology should fundamentally progress in accordance with the interests
of the citizens.The individuals engaged in science and technology should always
bear in mind this.
Efforts should be made to ensure a deep understanding of science
and technology among the citizens so that people can judge various societal issues
in a scientific,rational,and independent manner.
