2.2.1.2 Number of Researchers per10,000Population and per10,000Laborers
In Japan,the number of researchers per10,000people was59.4(or53.1,using
FTE)in2002,while the number of researchers per10,000laborers was112.8(or100.8,using
FTE),the highest figures among the advanced nations (Figure2-2-3).
But,the trends in recent years show that,the numbers of researchers
per10,000people and per10,000laborers have been stagnant in Japan since about
FY2,000.
