In recent years amidst the rapid changes that have been taking place in society such as the spread of computers, the advancement of internationalization and the advent of the aging society, the need is growing for jobs that require more specialist knowledge and capabilities. In order that such needs can be addressed, great expectations are placed on graduate schools to act as a place of learning and cultivation for human resources. At the University of the Air, which conducts its education via telecommunications, there is also a plan to establish a graduate school aiming to nurture highly-skilled professionals.
