AI has become a driving force for innovation in diverse fields of science, and its fundamental models are having a significant impact on society. Rapid developments in these AI technologies have attracted attention for AI integration with devices (i.e., robots, IoT, etc.), as the next innovation. As AI advances to acquire physical body functions and driving mechanisms, and also learns and grows through their mutual influence, the use of AI is expected to expand from the digital to the physical world. In order to quickly secure this important foundational technology, we will advance research and development to expand the application fields of AI to enhance the development of intelligent systems that can flexibly respond to changes in the real-world environment. This will lead to the realization of AI robots equipped with innovative intelligence and contribute to solving social issues such as addressing manpower shortages.
