Co-creative research for opening up the quantum frontier

Overview

Quantum technology is innovative technology that is expected to produce far-reaching innovation in society and the economy, but various challenges are still impeding the way to its realization. Although the development of quantum technology has conventionally been based on physics, also essential are the fusion and collaboration with a wide range of fields, including mathematical science, chemistry, computer science, electrical andelectronic engineering, mechanical engineering, photonics, materials science and engineering, life sciences and so on. This objective is the promotion of research aiming at breakthroughs across the spectrum, from materials and devices to applications, in collaboration and fusion with diverse fields, anticipating the achieving of future quantum technology to practical applications. These research will realize novel quantum devices and their control technology, systems, and applications unimagined until now.
