5. Training of Art Management Personnel
(1) What is art management?

The management of cultural institutes, the activities of artistic and cultural organizations and efforts relating to the effective and successful organization of large scale artistic and cultural events all fall under the generic term "art management". This is an extremely broad area which covers planning. Producing, financing, organizing, public relations, marketing and other management functions.

There are certain factors that have caused a greater attention to the necessity of art management i the nationwide increase in the number of cultural halls. art museums and other cultural institutes ; a greater tendency on the part of private enterprises to support artistic and cultural activities ; and need for the reinforcement of a supportive management base for art organizations to be active in carrying out creative activities.
