As stated in the “Law concerning UNESCO Activities,” JNCU is to be composed of no more than 60 members, including a chairperson and two vice-chairpersons. These members are appointed by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology upon recommendation of the Commission and with the approval of the Cabinet, from persons who represent the domains described below.
