Adapted Training and Education Benefits System

In June 1999, where certain training courses designated by the Minster of Labour are taken, a training and education benefits system providing part of the expenses necessary for this was to be adapted to: {1} Course registration systems by graduate schools and other institutions of higher education; {2} Evening graduate schools; {3} Graduate schools operating day/evening programs; and {4} Correspondence graduate schools.

As of April 2000, 15 majors including a major in System Management, Graduate School of Management Science and Public Policy Studies, University of Tsukuba, and 41 courses were designated as eligible courses.

Due to clear objectives for studying based on business experience, adult enrollment in university is expected to provide stimulation for regular students and to vitalize educational and research activities in universities. A positive adoption of these systems for adult enrollment by universities would be desirable.
