(4) Strengthening Mutual Cooperation among Different Educational Institutions

In order to appropriately evaluate the academic achievements acquired by students outside their own institution, various systems have been introduced and put into effect. These include; a system of university credit transfers (undergraduate and graduate level) under which a university may recognize credits awarded by other institutions as equivalent to its own, and a system of upper secondary (high school) credit transfers under which some upper secondary credits are awarded to day/evening course or correspondence course students for completing technical education or training courses given in special training schools, miscellaneous schools or vocational training centers.
