PART Recent Trends and Developments in Government Policies in Education, Science and Culture

In order to encourage creative artistic activities, the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture subsidizes performances by orchestras, operas, ballets and other companies, and organizes performances overseas, as well as large-scale performances within the country, of these groups in cooperation with the private sector. The Agency also organizes National Art Festivals and carries out various other programs, such as giving awards to artists and providing training for promising artists.
