For private school teachers there is a similar union called the Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association, providing the same kinds of allowances as those of the' public school teachers with the. Same benefits. There is also a National Public Service Mutual Aid Association for teachers in the national schools who are government officials, providing the same benefits as those of the public school teachers.

In other major countries, too, there are retirement annuity systems for public officials and pension systems, which include teachers in their membership. Disability pension systems and survivers' pension systems are also common in other major countries.

In all the states of the United States of America there is a retirement pension system for public officials, including teachers. In England and Vales there is a retirement pension system for primary and secondary school teachers throughout the country, and the teachers in the Federal Republic of Germany, France and the U.S.S.R. benefit from national public service pension systems. Allowances for the sick and injured and for the unemployed are provided under different systems in each country. In France and the Federal Republic of Germany such allowances are paid as a kind of compensation for public officials, while in the United States, the England and Wales and the U.S.S.R., they are provided as part of the social security system for the general public.
