(1)Thorough countermeasures against COVID-19 at elementary schools and junior and senior high schools during the summer vacation
MEXT would like to inform that we have compiled the items of which elementary schools and junior and senior high schools should be aware for the countermeasures against the novel coronavirus disease during the summer vacation as per the attached document. We would like to ask schools for foreign students to take the thorough countermeasures against COVID-19 even during the summer vacation, paying attention.

(2)Countermeasures against COVID-19 at elementary schools and junior and senior high schools based on the Declaration of a state of emergency
We would like to inform that the Prime Minister has declared a state of emergency for Tokyo during the period from July 12 to August 22, 2021 and has extended the period of the Declaration of a state of emergency for Okinawa Prefecture until August 22, 2021.
In addition, the period of the Priority preventative measures for Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa and Osaka Prefectures has been extended until August 22, 2021 and the Priority preventative measures for Hokkaido, Tokyo, Aichi, Kyoto, Hyogo and Fukuoka Prefectures have ended on July 11, 2021.
In accordance with the above, the Basic Policies for Novel Coronavirus Disease Control have been revised.
We kindly share this with you because it could be utilized as a reference for your consideration about your response to the novel coronavirus disease.

(3)Portuguese version of the Guide for use of the simple antigen test kits in schools for foreign students
MEXT would like to inform you that a Portuguese version of the Guide for use of the simple antigen test kits, which we conducted a request survey for schools for foreign students, has been completed as the attached document.
The survey has already been ended, but we kindly share this with the schools which plan to use the kits for your reference.
