In 1989, the Agency for Cultural Affairs established the Advisory Committee for Promoting Culture as a private consultative body headed by the Director-General of the Agency, to carry out necessary research and consultations with a view to promoting cultural policies from new perspectives, as well as to identify and analyze situations concerning culture. Since then, the Agency for Cultural Affairs has utilized various recommendations from knowledgeable members of the Advisory Committee in the further development of cultural policy.
In Chapter 2 , efforts made by the government in the field of cultural policies over the past ten years since the creation of the Advisory Committee for Promoting Culture are displayed concisely, mainly using data that can be shown by numerical indicators.
