4. Mutual Collaboration and Cooperation
(1) Collaboration among national organs
The Agency for Cultural Affairs, which is responsible for cultural policy, collaborates and cooperates with the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as with other related administrative organs. The Agency also works together with related special corporations such as the Japan Foundation and other various national and international organizations. Because cultural policy encompasses the work of many governmental organs and other organizations, collaboration and cooperation are essential to the effective development of an overall systematic cultural policy.
