Announcement of Hiring ALT ADVISOR Working at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
The ALT Advisor offers advice when ALTs, who are working mainly at Japanese junior high schools and high schools, are in trouble and ask for help,.
1 The period of employment :
February 1, 2006-March 30, 2006
(If it is agreed upon by both the ALTs'
adviser and the MEXT, the contract may be extended for a period of next fiscal
year)

3 The title of the position :
ALT ADVISOR(part-timer)
4 Duties
- Provide advice to ALTs concerning teaching at Japanese schools and living
in Japan
- Making and checking documents related to JET program and other English
documents
- Other duties which the director of the International Education Division
desires
5 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Have experience as an ALT on the JET program
- Be a native speaker of English
- Have a good command of the Japanese language
- Be interested in and be willing to deepen his or her knowledge and appreciation
of JET program, teaching foreign languages and international education
- Be under 45 years old, in principle
6 Terms and Conditions
- Working hours:16 hours per week(i.e. 8 hours 2 days, or 4 hours 4 days
)
- Working days: from Monday to Friday
- Work place: International Education Division of the MEXT(2-5-1 Marunouchi
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan)
- Remuneration:2500 yen per hour (40,000 yen per week)
- Traveling expenses: none
- Insurance: none
7 Application Procedure

a photo attached.
After we screen the curriculum Vitae and inform applicants
of the interview date. The curriculum Vitae applicants submit won't be returned
to them.
