Biography

While at university, the Vice Minister worked as an intern at the office of former Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu. After graduating from university, working for seven years for a local securities firm and serving as secretary to Masahiko Komura, Member of the House of Representatives, he was elected for the first time to the House of Representatives in September 2005. After serving as Deputy Chairman of the LDP Diet Affairs Committee in the House of Councillors, Deputy Director of the Youth Division, Deputy Director of the Internet Media Division and Acting Director of the Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Division, he was appointed to his current position.
