H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 34 (H-IIA F34) which encapsulates MICHIBIKI No.2, Quasi-Zenith Satellite System has been successfully launched today and injected into the desired orbit.

The successful launch of MICHIBIKI No. 2 marks the 36th consecutive launch of Japan’s mainstay launch vehicle which is a testament to the continued improvement in reliability of our nation’s space technology.

MEXT will continue to work on advancing measures to improve the safety and reliability of space launch vehicles to ensure successful future launches, in addition to working towards the steady development of the next-generation H3 Launch Vehicle.
