Acceptance of evacuees who have been affected by the damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station caused by the 2011 Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake

The National Bandai Youth Friendship Center (Inawashiro-machi, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture), and the National Nasukashi Youth Outdoor Learning Center (Nishigo-mura, Nishi-Shirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture) have responded to a request from the Fukushima Prefecture Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters and are accepting evacuees who have been affected due to the damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

Both facilities have accommodation capacity for 400 persons and there is also room to accept more persons in other onsite facilities, including the gymnasium, etc.

In addition, the National Iwatesan Youth Friendship Center (Takizawa-mura, Iwate-gun, Iwate Prefecture) is also planning to accept evacuees affected by the earthquake disaster, following a request from Takizawa village.
