For the R&D expenditure per researcher at companies by type
of industry,the top five industrial categories were led by the transport,telecom-munications,and
public utility industry,with its high purchase rates of large machinery,equipment,facilities,and
other tangible fixed assets,and then by academic research institutions and the
other transport machinery industry excluding motor vehicles industry (Figure2-1-15) .
