In order to duly evaluate academic achievement acquired by students out side their own schools or universities, various systems have been introduced and utilized. They include: a system of university credit transfers under which a university may recognize credits awarded by some other universities as equivalent to those of its own and a system of upper secondary credit transfers under which some upper secondary school credits are awarded to part-time or correspondence course students for the results of their technical education or training given in special training schools, miscellaneous schools or vocational training centers.
