Of public and private school education expenditures

(Note),

those disbursed for compulsory education assume the highest proportion in every fiscal year. The proportion of expenses for kindergarten education ranks the lowest, but is climbing year by year.

Distribution of government-disbursed school education expenditures to primary, secondary and higher education, respectively, in selected countries is shown in Table 5-2.


(Note) Public and private school education expextditures are school education expenditures, excluding expenditures for university-attached research institutes and hospitals ana tor miscellaneous schools. That is, the educational expenditures disbursed at all levels of national, local and private schools, fanging from kindergartens to institutions of higher educationt (universities. junior colleges. tecltntical colleges, etc.).
