Training Lectures for Parenting Supporter Leaders Becoming a parenting master (Fukuoka Prefecture Parenting Advisor Seminar) (Kasuya Borough, Fukuoka Prefecture)

Training sessions were held on five occasions with the aim of enhancing the parenting support structure by engaging in training for and deepening exchange among the people who take a leadership role in parenting support.
The training covered a wide range of issues: in addition to lectures that aimed to improve communication skills and lectures that were directed at enhancing coordination skills for forming parenting support networks, there were also lectures on the developmental psychology of infants/newborns.
In addition, thanks to the morning training sessions being made public, not only leaders, but many other people with an interest in home education and parenting were also able to participate in the sessions.
The parenting supporter leaders who were trained in this way have been dispatched to regions in Fukuoka Prefecture upon request. The dispatched leaders have instructed parents on how to read books aloud for their children and have also given guidance for parent-child recreation activities. Recently, they have been involved in childcare activities that have taken place in the home economics classes at lower secondary schools. These parenting supporter leaders are expected to play increasingly significant roles in the future.
